Thinking about Corporate Packaging Boxes & Eyeliner Packaging

"It's the same old tissue, honey, it does not make a difference, ok? It's still going to work the exact same way", my exasperated hubby hissed into my ear as I got cartons after containers of some 'designer' tissue. DESIGNER TISSUE! Hah, can you even hear me state that? I can't think I really wrote 'designer tissue'. Yes, for a graphic designer and author who knows all about the kind of effort one puts into product packaging and branding items, I sure fell for it. All the hoopla. The shenanigans. The 'suck 'em in with great copy and fab color combination'. Hey, I am still a customer, keep in mind that. I am entitled to fall for good packaging, I have a prevailing right to be human.

They are so quite ... the product packaging. I swear!

They have the 'nature fan' packaging, the 'fruity' packaging, the 'lady on the go' product packaging, and after that they have the 'kids' product packaging. I got 4 of each design packages and made a run for the counter with them with my shouting kids and exasperated other half pursuing me in sluggish movement. It was certainly a 'die-hard' moment. You know, when the hero is fleing from a bunch of wild bad men with machine weapons, and they're shooting at your feet or something ... and there's a surge behind you ... and whatever takes place in ssslllloooowwwww mmmmooooottttttiiiioooonnnnn.

Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with elegant product packaging designs on them. I would find it funny enough if I didn't like the packaging develops so much. I am dead major. In fact, I enjoyed the packaging designs a lot, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would eliminate the styles and put it into my 'needs to keep for referral' clear folder. I don't keep a lot of stuff in there since I am pretty selective about the styles that I like, however these product packaging designs packaging tin boxes made the cut. They certainly did.

You see, this is the example that occurs when you put some effort into making your packaging design. Yeah, all of us have this in the back of our heads ... "Hey, it's PACKAGING! It's what's INSIDE that count. They're going to THROW the PACKAGING away. So, why invest a lot loan on the product packaging?" Maybe you're likewise believing that the cash ought to go towards developing much better quality items ... for faster shipment options ... or possibly the loan needs to go towards investing potential customers to costly suppers in Italian restaurants. It's your call, really.

This is what I have to tell you, as a graphic designer and customer. The more effort you put into creating your packaging, more customers will stop and take an appearance at your product packaging or what's inside the product packaging. Now, does it make sense for me to state now that when they stop and take notification of your packaging, your possibility of getting them to buy your item boosts? Exactly.

You see, the function of packaging is to grab the consumer's attention. And without an electrifying packaging, customers are going to walk past the stacks and stacks of other rival products ... and yours ... without even understanding you're there! Your item is sitting there on a shelf, for goodness sake, and the only weapon you have is to have a great product packaging. Once they take a look and stop, you've won the first round.

Consider it!

They have the 'nature fan' packaging, the 'fruity' product packaging, the 'lady on the go' product packaging, and then they have the 'kids' packaging. Well, in this case, I was running for checkout with boxes of tissue paper with expensive packaging styles on them. I loved the product packaging designs so much, after using up all the tissues in the boxes, I would cut out the styles and place it into my 'should keep for reference' clear folder. I do not keep a lot of things in there because I am pretty selective about the styles that I like, however these product packaging designs made the cut. The more effort you put into creating your product packaging, more clients will stop and take an appearance at your packaging or what's inside the foam packaging.
